Susie Coelho Enterprises (SCE) is a multi-media Los Angeles based company founded in 1997 by Susie Coelho. 

 

SCE started as a lifestyle company supporting Susie Coelho’s many endeavors as a lifestyle expert.  The company successfully leveraged Coelho’s talents and visibility, quickly expanding its businesses from television shows to best-selling books; strategic corporate partnerships with Fortune 500 companies to the licensing of the Susie Coelho brands.   

 

Susie’s first licensing deal was signed with the Target Corporation and “Susie Coelho Style,” then in succession, Grandin Road Catalog with “Susie Coelho Signature,” QVC with “Susie Coelho at Home,” and “Susie Coelho Garden.”  In a creative partnership with her various retailers and buyers, Susie developed products spanning more than a dozen categories including bedding, bath, tabletop, luggage, outdoor garden and florals, seasonal products and wedding. 

 

SCE was launched soon after Susie became the host of the HGTV prime time series “Surprise Gardener” and later “Outer Spaces.”  Susie also did numerous specials for HGTV throughout her ten years on the network.  Executive Producer Jeff Zucker signed Susie as a regular lifestyle contributor to Today, to bring lifestyle advice and tips to moms across America.  She also became a regular contributor on The View and has appeared on many other shows including Oprah. 

 

In a bidding war between three top New York publishing houses, Susie made her mark as a best-selling author with her first book published by Simon & Schuster, Everyday Styling.  Three other books followed: Styling for Entertaining, Secrets of a Style Diva, and Style Your Dream Wedding.  

 

Coelho’s partnerships also included many iconic brands such as eBay, Betty Crocker, Bank of America, SC Johnson (Windex and Glad), 3-M, Heinz, Maxwell House and Kahlua, amongst others. During these partnerships Coelho provided services to promote and market products and the overall brand through media, print and public relations events.   

 

As a forward-thinking entrepreneur with a no-nonsense approach to business, Susie became a favorite on Fox Business and part of a prestigious panel of “Cavuto All Stars” giving voice to small businesses entrepreneurs and women's issues. Susie has also appeared on CNN, ABC News, and many other news shows.

 

In 2019, the company expanded, creating the fashion brand, House of Sussex. Susie came back to her roots in the fashion world, first designing leather backpacks.  She collaborated with notable contemporary artists who started as street artists. Susie’s vision began as she was inspired by the art on the streets of LA, NY, Paris, Spain, Portugal and London.

   

Never one to sit on her laurels, Susie is now writing a book about her trip to India, 35 years ago, in 1983 to interview Phoolan Devi, the famous Bandit Queen.  Simultaneously she is an Executive Producer and Interviewee on a documentary film, Phoolan, directed by Hossein Martin Fazeli.  The film chronicles the extraordinary life of this illiterate village girl, gang-rape survivor, bandit leader and finally parliamentarian.
