For this fall dinner, I used white gourds in various sizes that I had left over from Halloween. These things last forever so you can use them throughout the fall, Thanksgiving and even into Christmas or the holiday season. I just added a fall color with the burnt orange chrysanthemum in a low vase, so that people could speak over the table without feeling like there was any barrier. I also tossed in a few sprigs of wheat and lavender on the place settings to add a bit of aroma!
